Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to explore patterns that emerge in relationship — in real time, with others.

Many people come to group therapy because they notice familiar dynamics showing up again and again: difficulty speaking up, pulling back when things feel uncomfortable, prioritizing others’ needs over their own, or feeling unsure how they’re perceived. Group therapy provides a space to explore these experiences with curiosity, support, and care.

Why Group Therapy?

Unlike individual therapy, group therapy allows you to learn about yourself through interaction. What happens between group members often mirrors what happens in relationships outside of therapy — and that makes it a powerful place for insight, practice, and change.

In group, you’re not asked to perform or share more than you’re ready to. Participation unfolds gradually, and your pace is respected.

How Groups Are Structured

I offer time-limited group therapy periodically, typically in small groups. Groups are intentionally structured to support safety, reflection, and meaningful connection.

Before joining a group, we meet individually to talk through:

  • what brings you to group therapy

  • what you’re hoping for

  • any concerns or questions you may have

This helps ensure that the group is a good fit and that you feel prepared and supported.

What It’s Like to Be in Group

Group sessions are relational and present-focused. While members may share personal experiences, much of the work happens in noticing feelings, reactions, and patterns as they arise in the room.

My role is to help create a thoughtful, contained space — supporting connection, curiosity, and respectful communication — while allowing the group itself to become an important part of the therapeutic process.

Group Therapy May Be a Good Fit If You:

  • notice recurring patterns in relationships

  • want to better understand how you show up with others

  • struggle to express needs or boundaries

  • feel disconnected from your voice in relationships

  • are curious about growth through shared experience
